We upgraded our web and e-mail servers on October 20, 2007.  Your email address has not changed -- however, it was necessary to reset your password.  You should have received the new password prior to conversion; if you did not, please contact Paula.  Please log into WebMail to change your password at your earliest convenience.  

Accessing your e-mail account USING WEBMAIL.

  1. Open your web browser and go to http://webmail.okcountytreasurers.com
  2. Enter your username:   your user name is the name of your county, ex. jefferson or stephens
  3. Enter your password:  if you don't know your password, call or e-mail Paula  (note:  you can change your password once you’ve logged in)
  4. Click on Log in

 Setting up your account in Outlook 2003

  1. Open Outlook and select Tools
  2. Select E-mail Accounts
  3. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next
  4. Select Pop3 and click Next
  5. Complete screen as follows:

Your Name – enter it the way you prefer that it appear in e-mails you send

E-mail Address -  yourcounty@okcountytreasurers.com (ex. jefferson@okcountytreasurers.com)

User Name:  your user name is your email address

Password:  if you don't know your password, call or e-mail Paula

Incoming mail server (POP3):  mail.okcountytreasurers.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP):  mail.okcountytreasurers.com

 Make sure that the box by Log on using Secure Password Authentication is UNCHECKED

Click on More Settings, Change the name you want to use to refer to the account outlook (optional)

Click on Outgoing Server, Click the box by My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

If you plan on setting the account up on multiple computers, Click Advanced, Check the box that says Leave a copy of messages on the server and then check the box that says Remove from server after five days.  You can increase the number of days to 10 if you prefer.

 Click OK

 Click on Test Account Settings

 (Hopefully, you will get a screen that says “congratulations ….”)  Click on Close, then Next, then Finish

Setting up your account in Outlook 2007

  1. Open Outlook and select Tools
  2. Select Account Settings
  3. Select the Email tab if it is not already selected
  4. Click New
  5. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP; click Next
  6. Check the box "Manually configure server settings...; click Next
  7. Select Internet E-mail
  8. Complete the screen using the information below:

Your Name – enter it the way you prefer that it appear in e-mails you send

E-mail Address -  yourcounty@okcountytreasurers.com (ex. jefferson@okcountytreasurers.com)

Account Type:  POP3

Incoming mail server:  mail.okcountytreasurers.com

Outgoing mail server (SMTP):  mail.okcountytreasurers.com

User Name:  your user name is your email address

Password:  if you don't know your password, call or e-mail Paula

Check "Remember password"

Make sure that the box by Require logon using Secure Password Authentication is UNCHECKED

  11. Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:  mail.okcountytreasurers.com
  12. Click Next
  13. Account name: your account name is your email address.
  14. Password:  if you don't know your password, call or e-mail Paula, click Next, click Finish
  15. Find the account (mail.okcountytre….); if it is not highlighted already, select it.
  16. Click Properties, Change the name of the account if you like (optional)
  17. Click Servers, Check the box under Outgoing Mail Server:  My server requires authentication
  18. If you plan on setting the account up on multiple computers, Click Advanced, Check the box that says Leave a copy of messages on the server and then check the box that says Remove from server after five days.  You can increase the number of days to 10 if you prefer.
  19. Click OK
  20. Click Close

Setting up your account in WINDOWS MAIL

  1. Open Windows Mail
  2. Select Tools
  3. Select Accounts
  4. Click on Add
  5. Select E-mail Account, Click Next
  6. Enter your name as you prefer it to appear on e-mails you send.  Click Next
  7. E-mail address:  yourcounty@okcoutytreasurers.com (ex. jefferson@okcountytreasurers.com).  Click Next
  8. Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:  mail.okcountytreasurers.com
  9. Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:  mail.okcountytreasurers.com

  14. Check the box by Remember password.  Click Next, click Finish
