ABOUT OUR COUNTY TREASURER WEB SITES
Our county treasurer web site offers the major users of county treasurer data instant access to
up-to-date tax information – 24 hours a day, every day – without a trip to the courthouse or even a telephone call. The site,
available from any internet connection, is packed with features, user-friendly, and very affordable.
Key Features:
Search current tax records by name; property location; legal description
(addition, section, township and range); or parcel.
Each search begins with a screen that has simple instructions for the search.
Search by addition by choosing city and addition name or enter the
addition code if you prefer.
Search by section, township and range by using our drop-down boxes which
eliminate common mistakes or enter the information directly.
Search by property location by choosing from a list of cities and streets
in those cities.
Use our “hard to find” feature to locate those hard-to-find records.
Our
search results are designed to provide the user with concise, but
detailed tax information. From any search results screen, the
user can simply click on "Details" to see mailing address, legal
description, property location, assessment and levy information, and
payment information. The page also includes information on
back taxes and individual certificates if applicable. There is
also a print-friendly version of the details page.
Properties with back taxes or individual certificates are easily
identified by an asterisk in the notes column.
Our search results are linked to past history in two ways.
The user can display tax history on a parcel, regardless of owner, by
clicking on the parcel number.
The user can display tax history for a taxpayer, including personal
taxes and taxes on other parcels, by clicking on the taxpayer's
name.
Users can also search past records directly by name or parcel number.
The county treasurer updates the data regularly; many treasurers choose to update around
noon, others update around closing time.
In addition to providing access to tax information, the website provides
taxpayers with the opportunity to pay taxes online using one of four different credit/debit cards. This feature is
included as an option at no additional cost.
